Wasps under 13 squad won the Mynnad Isa Tournament in Wales on 24th June 2007.

Out of a squad of nine there was only six standing at the end due to injuries. A tough semi final penalty shoot out caused the injuries. Tom Allen saved the day with great saves but also broke his arm in doing so. Kieran Hayes injured his leg during the game and limped off. Sam McKay attended with an injury and fell ill during the day. What hero's.

The team faced local rivals Liscard Panthers in the final. Tired, but with fire in their bellies they came out like warriors. Injured Kieran in goal, Lewis Hayden, Matthew Hindmarsh and Josh Mitchell holding up the rear. Greg Shone and Callum Evans in the middle and a lone Jo Sells up front. They played beautiful football the West Kirby Wasps Way. Passing the ball and not letting the opposition have possession. A run through the middle where Jo Sells passed to Greg Shone who launched the ball into the back of the net. A 1 - 0 win which resulted in the Liscard Panther parents and players joining the Wasps parents in giving the team a standing ovation.

A great day with great football and a fantastic atmosphere. COME ON YOU WASPS!
