Ash Celtic Football Festival Final Winners!
A series of magnificent footballing performances during this tournament led to a thoroughly well deserved trophy win for the Wasps in the concluding game of the day.
With Adam Hoijord showing safe hands in goal throughout, making a notable contribution to the days success, allied to Tom Kenny, Sam Edwards and Brett Williams’ strong, resilient defensive cover, the latter running the midfield in the final, the Wasps had a solid base on which to build.
Robert Stirrup’s tireless midfield performances, winning tackle after tackle provided the platform for endless Wasps attacks where Guy Stratton led the line, John Kitchen plundered 4 goals, and Jack “Once a Wasp, always a Wasp” Davies, Luke Edwards and Louis Kenton also added their names to the scoresheet, the Wasps ended the day with the piece of silverware their efforts and performance warranted.
Well done to all the boys! Once again, you truly were a credit to the club.
